Work Experience At Social Allies

This week we have been joined by the lovely Amy, who has been learning about Digital marketing from our team. She has written about her experience, check it out below! The World of work is a new and exciting adventure to be part of, my work experience at Social Allies has opened my eyes to all the benefits that a work environment brings. In the short time I have been here, the Social Allies team has taught me valuable skills such as creativity, passion, and problem-solving.  Having the opportunity to work with a small business means that I can see how a small business operates which has sparked my desire to create my own small business in the future, based on the environment and team that welcomed me into Social Allies. Evidently, creativity is one of Social Allies key focuses so I had the opportunity to develop ideas for more creative content. While working on new ideas for brand content I reviewed and collected inspiration for new marketing techniques while making sure they fit their brand identity. Establishing new ideas for Social Allies is very beneficial to understand how to incorporate contemporary ideas into an established brand to keep it evolving. Over the course of two days, I have taken part in creative meetings where I can share my thoughts and ideas that I have created for new content. Having experienced what creative meetings are like, I have learned how important it is to ask questions and share my ideas while also welcoming feedback to improve my ideas in order to get the best result. Working at Social Allies is inspiring as I get to see the hard work and dedication the team put in to help the business function and strive forward with their goals which is something very refreshing and admirable to see.  Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Social Allies as I have learnt and continue to learn so many transferable skills which I hope to use in the future, in order to keep pushing my skills further. Working with such an innovative and determined company has shaped the values I hope to bring into my next work environment, while always remaining curious to push myself out of my comfort zone.  Work Experience advice:  Push yourself to try new things and be open to new ideas.  Ask questions so that you fully understand what you need to do.  Be curious so that you can be open to learning new things.
